I'm a young professional who started running in October 2009 when my sister talked me into walking a charity 5K with her. After that, my goal was to see if I could run a 5K. Then run it faster. Then run a 10K... you get where this is going.
I started this blog to keep track of my training for my first half marathon. I finished that, added two more and then finished my first full marathon in Detroit October 2011. I love running and have found how nice it is to keep a blog and get to know other running bloggers as well :)
After doing all of my training on my own for the first year and a half (and I kept it a secret in case I failed), I joined a local running group to get me through 20 weeks of marathon training. And I LOVE it! Joining Running Fit's 501 running group has been amazing and has made me love running EVEN MORE!! I've made some amazing friends :)
On a personal note, I'm recently married to my high school sweetheart, own our dream house, have two of the best puppies in the world, just bought my first new car and love love love my job. I know that all sounds made up and sappy, but it's true. I'm genuinely a happy person. And blue is my favorite color.
