I'm in LOVE!!

With my new GARMIN!!  I charged it as soon as I got it Wednesday night and couldn't wait to hit the road Thursday night with it as soon as I got home!  I only had time for a couple miles as it was my husband's one day off this week, but I got out there.
I can't figure out how to rotate this picture; it should be simple
I LOVED IT!!  It was so much fun seeing my instant pace at any time and I have to admit that I looked down at it about a million times during the 2 miles.  I think I have to tighten the band as it was turning down around my wrist and I was having trouble seeing it, so I kept playing with it.

I was surprised to see that my pace was faster than I thought at many times.  I've only used a free app on my phone to track my runs which averages the pace throughout the whole run, so this was fun to see.  Now I just need to figure out exactly how to track the stuff online.  I don't know how to show the pace per lap/mile other than the graph.

I used the heart rate monitor with no problem.  It was incredibly comfortable and I completely forgot it was there.  It was fun to see what my max heart rate was since I've never tracked that since I started running.
Even my dog likes my new Garmin!
Now I can't wait to get out there and run some more!!  LOVE this thing :)

  1. The Garmin is so addictive and it's hard to stop looking at your wrist sometimes. I use Garminconnect.com to track all my workouts and I love it. It will give you your elevation, heart rate, etc and you can type in extra info about your run like the temp, how you felt, etc. It's great.

  4. I love my Garmin too. But I only look at the average pace each mile marker. Less driving yourself crazy that way. I did look at it about 16 billion times the last six of my marathon though. Not a good thing to have that at the end.

  7. It's so awesome going from nothing to a Garmin!

And I love tracking my H.R. Kinda got away from that but need to get back to it. It really makes a difference if you incorporate your H.R. info into your training. I think you'll love the Garmin more once you figure out the computer stuff :)
